Siamo ritornati di Italia sensa catastrofia!...
We had a great trip home.
I only have one complaint...the taxi driver charged us the 22 Euros (the
signora had said 15-18) to the airport...and then he added 8 euros for
the
bags..!!!! He asked for 30 Euros. I got very mad at him, but he would
not
change his mind!
It did cost a bit more since he was stuck with the construction backing
up
onto Via Romana...and our trip started at almost 7 euros. But, overall
the
cost of 30 euros was much too much. I would appreciate it if you called
the
taxi company and tell them that this was NOT appreciated and that it ended
a
wonderful vacation with great anger and disappointment. The driver was
not
able to show me the bagage fee, but I could not argue well enough in Italian
to not pay the 30 euros. He probably took the extra money for himself.
I did
not know if the bagage fee went up with kilometres. He said it did. We
had
paid from the train station 2euros95..so this increase from 22 to 30 was
well above this charge.
I told him that he represented the worst of Italians in this transaction.
Our taxi was booked for Oct 13 at 7:10 if the signora or owner wants to
trace the driver.
This has nothing to do with you, Alessandro, but maybe you want to not
use
this company again since I felt very deceived.
Otherwise, our stay in Florence was beyond incredible and much thanks
to you
and your warmth and personality. You are a wonderful peron.
