Martino We loved our stay in Florence in your Campuccio 1 apartment. It is a very comfortable, large one bedroom apartment, located on the back of the building so that it does not get any street noise. It is very convenient to both the inbound and outbound routes for the center of Florence (two different one way streets, each about a block and a half from the apartment), so that we could get to the railroad station in twenty minutes. We used the bus almost every day, particularly for one day trips from the station to surrounding towns. The shopping street with a small supermarket was nearby. We were there a month and never tired of wither Florence or the apartment. Dick Fahy

we stayed in this very nice apartment from Oct 9 to 19, 2007. Its location is a really good feature - away from the tourist mobs in the historic district but a short walk to just about any place you want to go. Plazza Santa Spirito was three short blocks away and we liked the restaurants there - only Casalanga was filled with tourists (we loved it regardless) and the other restaurants on the plaza and next street over (Via Mafia) were fun and very reasonable. One thing we missed was having a phone (reservations, taxi etc) as using our cell was expensive. We ( a 70 year old couple) handled the 40 steps with no problem. The apartment was quiet except for one night when there was an argument near by - we would definitely stay here again. 9 days is hardly enough to do all you want to do in Florence (assuming you like Ren art!)

The apartmernt was everything we could have wanted..... quiet and very close to Plazza Santa Spiritu with its wonderful restaurants which were not packed with tourists the way most of the ones across the river were.We could easily walk to the major tourist sites. We took a cab from the train station but later learned the bus routes. With the terrible exchange rate this was the only way wwe could afford a week in Florencxe, barely enough time to do all that we wanted - including train to Pisa for the day and a bus tour to Siena. Dear Martino We very much enjoyed our apartment in Florence thank you. Our apartment was very spacious and an ideal base for what we needed. The hospitality that we received was very useful for eating out, every restaurant that was recommended had excellent food. Also the places to visit that were recommended we also followed and we were equally pleased. There was only one thing which did spoil the apartment which was the neighbour (who's flat shares the same door as ours) he had his television at full volume which became rather annoying on the 2 evenings that we stayed in on. Dear Martino, We were very pleased with our "Campuccio 1" apartment. It was spacious, well equipped, and very quiet as well as full of light and air--even better than the pictures. It remained cool even when the weather in Florence turned hot. Being on the third floor (American) wasn't a problem; the stairs were easy to climb. The neighborhood was great. It had everything anyone could need. We found good food stores, wine stores, and a great bakery. There were plenty of cleaners and a good barber for my husband. The location was close enough to important sites without being overrun with tourists. And Oltrarno provided a whole new area to explore in depth. One small suggestion: We would have appreciated having a few more towels and an extra set of sheets available. It wasn't necessary, but it would have been nice. We hope to come back to Florence again in the next few years and stay even longer. Given our experience with your organization, I'll be back in touch when we begin to make plans. Sincerely, Harriett

Martino, thank you for the opportunity to comment on our stay in Campuccio Apartment 1 during the month of March, 2005. It was, in a word, wonderful. The apartment was more than we had imagined, and was bright, spacious and efficient. It was particularly well located, being within easy walking distance to the Ponte Vecchio, yet just far enough away from the tourist crowds in front of the Pitti Palace to make it quiet and peaceful. Our landlord, Allesandro, was amazing. He was friendly and helpful beyond the call of duty. The few times when we voiced any concerns, he responded immediatly. He even supplied us with a cell phone so that we could contact him anytime. We have no hesitation in recommending the apartment. We would certainly seek to rent it again the next time we are in Florence. We would then look forward to meeting up with Allesandro again. We hope that the forgoing comments are useful.
